Penderyn Square, Sunday 28 2017
A band on a mission formed in 2015. The HomeGrown are a four piece based between Canterbury and Bedford. This will be The HomeGrown's third visit to Merthyr and their second appearance at Merthyr Rising. The band consist of charismatic front-man Andy Craigen, powerful guitarist/vocalist Danny Hemming, flair bassist Adam Emms and illustrious percussionist Seb Hensman. The HomeGrown are largely inspired by The King Blues, Frank Turner, Beans on Toast, a sprinkle of Jamie T and a dash of Rage Against the Machine. The HomeGrown's music covers a wide range of social issues relating to the injustices of modern day society; using a mixture of catchy melodies and straight talking rants.
