The 501’s are a four piece Welsh rock band from the South Wales Valley’s. Merging their styles of modern rock with the pain of 20th century poets, the band formed in 2019 and released their first EP “The Enemy Within”. Later that year saw the release their single “SCARS” which was described as “A powerhouse, suitable for all rock fans”. The emotional video that came with it, gathered nearly 40,000 views on Facebook alone. Their next single “RAGE” seen the band take more of a heavier approach at the beginning of 2020, with this resulting in being voted the number 1 song of the year on local Australian radio. With a busy 2020 ahead for the band, with festivals, gigs and the start of recording their album, a global pandemic struck and stopped everything in their tracks. With lockdown easing, the band then recorded their next track at the Manic Street Preachers studio. The track “Something Else” was their first release since the pandemic and brought with it an emotional video that fitted the current situation. With their album finally being started in 2022, the band decided to release a new single “One By One”, the track was accompanied with a video directed by BAFTA award winner Kieran Evans and was also compared to T-Rex and David Bowie by Daniel Johns of Silverchair.
