We're approaching three weeks of the event, and the world has been very different since we began organising the year's festival just over six months ago.
After a two year break and a move to Cyfarthfa Park being prompted by the authorities, the shape of the festival has changed and with that came an increase in ticket prices to help us facilitate the event in a larger space.
The festival was forced to move back to Penderyn Square, as many of you know. We were more than happy about this, although we are left with inflated costs and months of unnecessary planning.
These issues have reflected the ticket price and why it didn't change.
Now, months after the festival announcement, our community faces a new issue with a cost of living crisis and inflation, causing anxiety and hardship to our community. Although ticket sales have been steady and on-trend to previous events, we constantly hear how difficult people find it.
As a festival with a community ethos, we see no alternative other than helping those who don't have the funds to enjoy a weekend celebration that we all deserve. Therefore we're introducing a 20% ticket discount for all those who need to make the saving. We will also remove all booking fees from online ticket sales!
For those who can afford to pay a little more, the option is to pay the full price will remain; every penny counts to fund our festival and help it reach its potential for our community.
We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in a few weeks.
